EPDM seal strips can be divided into two categories according to the material: dense strip and foaming strip. The hardness of the dense seal strip is generally between 65c and 90c. Foam seal hardness between 15 degrees to 35 degrees, the product is soft, good elasticity, suitable for a variety of sealing block, gasket, etc.
EPDM seal strip can be divided into:
(1) discontinuous vulcanization method (after cutting the extruded rubber strip according to a certain length, put it into the vulcanization tank to vulcanize, and put the extruded semi-finished rubber strip into the model to vulcanize);
2) continuous vulcanization method (microwave continuous vulcanization method, salt bath continuous vulcanization method, hot air continuous vulcanization method). A. Microwave continuous vulcanization composite seal strip: microwave vulcanization technology was widely used in the 1970s after the foreign energy crisis. The microwave continuous vulcanization technology can not only produce the metal core, the compacting adhesive and the foaming adhesive material co-extrusion, but also is superior to other continuous vulcanization devices in the aspects of energy saving and improving work efficiency. This technology is recognized by the world as the best process for the production of extruded products. The characteristic of microwave heating is that the heat is directly generated in the heated object, rather than from the external input as usual, which not only generates heat quickly, but also distributes evenly, which is conducive to improving the product quality and greatly reducing the heating time. B. Salt bath continuous vulcanization seal strip: salt bath vulcanization adopts the salt bath system containing nitrite, now only one kind of adhesive tape soft rubber profile use this kind of method C. Hot air vulcanization seal strip: hot air vulcanization has been developed to strong wind type vulcanization, even using high temperature, high speed hot air vulcanization (Tmax: 450°C and Vmax: 60m/s) can also achieve the role of flame pretreatment, and the safety is greatly improved.
