Nitrile rubber O ring cord, also known as NBR rubber cord or Buna-N cord, made from nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), it has a very good resistance to oil, weather, UV, ozone, water and steam, is a sealing material widely used in industrial and automotive applications. Especially if have special requirements to oil resistance, nitrile rubber is the best choice.
Rubber O ring cord is commonly used for O-rings and packing applications, different sizes and hardness are available.
Nitrile rubber o ring cord sizes from 1.5mm to 35mm can be do, currently have mould of 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 12mm…. The smallest diameter we can do is about 1.5mm and the biggest diameter is about 35mm.
Hardness from 50shore A to 85shore A.
Typical operating temperature: -30°C to +100°C (continuous use)
Extended range (special grades): -40°C to +120°C or occasionally up to +130°C for short periods
Nitrile rubber O ring cord also can be joint to a ring, either hot joint or cold joint, hot joint need to make a corner tooling then vulcanized welding ends together, cold joint use glue make them adhesive together, but joint point also very strong.
