Silicone material:

With excellent low temperature resistance, the operating temperature range in -60℃ to +200℃.

It performs stably in extremely cold environments.

It is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, suitable for places with high safety requirements (such as homes and hospitals).

The disadvantage is that the price is higher and the wear resistance is slightly inferior to EPDM.

It can be used in extremely cold areas with high environmental protection requirements.

Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE/TPV) material:

Have good elasticity and flexibility,

Low temperature resistance is close to EPDM (-30℃ to +80℃).

They are recyclable, environmentally friendly and easy to process.

The disadvantage is that they may gradually become brittle in severe cold.

Some customers will choose PVC material because it is cheap, but it has poor cold resistance, easy to harden and shrink at low temperatures, resulting in sealing failure. It is also easy to age, and its long-term outdoor service life is short (2-5 years). Therefore, avoid using PVC sealing strips in cold areas in winter.
